Delete from inside your dashboard
If you have a MaCommerce account, this is the fastest path and takes effect immediately.
- Sign in to your MaCommerce dashboard.
- Open Settings → Privacy & Data.
- Click “Delete my account and data.”
- Confirm by typing DELETE. Your access token is revoked at once and your records enter deletion.
- Check your email. We send written confirmation when erasure is complete — normally within minutes, and always within 30 days.
Request deletion by email
Use this if you no longer have access to your account, or if you're an Instagram user who interacted with a merchant using MaCommerce and want your messages removed.
- Email privacy@macommerce.shop with the subject line
Data Deletion Request. - Include your Instagram username (and the merchant's handle, if you commented on their post) so we can locate your records.
- We verify the request — we may ask one confirming question to make sure we're deleting the right person's data.
- We delete and confirm in writing within 30 days.
Disconnect MaCommerce from Facebook
Revoking our permission stops all new data immediately. It does not by itself erase what we already hold — pair it with Route A or B for full deletion.
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & Privacy → Settings.
- Select “Business integrations” (or “Apps and Websites”).
- Find MaCommerce in the list of active integrations.
- Click Remove and confirm. Our access token is invalidated instantly.
What gets deleted

What we can't delete. Deleting your MaCommerce data does not remove the original comments or messages from Instagram itself — those live on Meta's servers and are controlled by you and Meta. To remove them, delete them in the Instagram app or contact Meta directly.
Automatic deletion callback. If you delete your Facebook account or remove our integration, Meta notifies MaCommerce through its data deletion callback and we erase the associated records automatically — no request from you needed.
